Mum: Slumdweller booked for refusing quarantine

Acting on BMC’s complaint, Dahisar police on Friday filed an FIR against a slum-dweller for refusing to stay in public quarantine and visiting his workplace despite being identified as a “high-risk contact”.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
