Delhi: 5,475 new cases, 91 deaths on Thursday

The daily death toll due to Covid-19 in Delhi remained below 100 for the second consecutive day on Thursday even as new cases registered a marginal increase — from 5,246 on Wednesday to 5,475 on Thursday.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
