Wife held, son apprehended in W Delhi murder

A shoe repairer was allegedly killed by his wife and 17-year-old son in west Delhi's Jwala Puri area with a pair of scissors following a quarrel between the couple on petty issues, police said on Thursday.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
