HC asks BMC, state not to cut trees in Andheri

The Bombay high court in an interim order restrained the BMC and the state government from cutting any tree for a project to construct three roads to connect Versova and Lokhandwala.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
