Salons in Mumbai set to reopen on Sunday

Easing yet another set of curbs, the Maharashtra administration on Thursday allowed salons and beauty parlours to reopen starting June 28 in red zones such as Mumbai, but for select services. According to a notification, entry will be with prior appointment. And only select services like haircuts, dyeing, waxing, threading will be allowed. Skin-related services are not permitted.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
