Schools to open for students of IX, XI from Feb 5

After opening for classes X and XII students, schools will reopen for classes IX and XI on February 5 to complete practicals and projects, education minister Manish Sisodia announced on Friday. He also said degree colleges, polytechnics and ITIs, too, could be opened.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
