Nearly 500 Covid cremations from April 20-26 in Gurugram

In the seven days from April 20-26, the city’s four crematoriums saw nearly 500 funerals in which Covid protocols were followed. The official death toll from Covid in the city was 53 in the same period.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
