The Congress on Friday held the government responsible for disruption of proceedings in Parliament, saying this was happening as it is avoiding a discussion on the Pegasus snooping issue.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
