Video call, blackmail attempt: MLA lodges FIR

Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Surve has lodged a criminal case at Dahisar police station in Mumbai claiming that an unidentified person tried to extort money from him using a morphed video, police said on Thursday.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
