DU plans to make North Campus ‘closed’ in a year

The North Campus of Delhi University (DU) will be converted into a closed area like Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). DU vice-chancellor Yogesh Tyagi informed the executive council (EC) meeting on Saturday that the varsity is in contact with the government agencies and departments to convert the campus into a closed one within a year.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
