6-yr-old testifies, man gets 10 yrs for sex abuse

A special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act court has sentenced a van driver to 10 years’ imprisonment for sexually assaulting a six-yearold girl twice near her Andheri school in 2016.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
