AIIMS offers Delhi’s first lung transplant

AIIMS, which pioneered heart transplants in India, has now decided to conduct lung transplants too — making it the first hospital in the capital and the second public institution in the country to offer the procedure after PGIMER, Chandigarh.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
