Buillders default on Rs 680cr rent to slum dwellers

Three months after the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) published a list of builders of 150 projects where slum dwellers haven't been paid rent as part of their rehabilitation schemes, only a handful of builders have cleared their dues. Of the cumulative outstanding rent of Rs 700 crore, according to SRA estimates, only around Rs 20 crore has been paid.
