Maharashtra govt should resign, must re­evaluate governor system, says Uddhav Thackeray

A satisfied Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray said the Supreme Court verdict has exposed the dirty politics of the people lusting for power, and “if the current CM (Eknath Shinde) and deputy CM (Devendra Fadnavis) have any ethics, they should resign and face elections”.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
