Ministry clears 11 acres to BBMP for projects

A major hurdle to several major infrastructure projects of Bengaluru was cleared on Tuesday with the Defence Estates Office finally clearing transfer of defence land to BBMP for various works.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
