Delhi HC throws out plea against limit on drinking age

Delhi high court on Thursday dismissed a PIL challenging the minimum prescribed age for drinking liquor in the city and said it is a policy decision by the government where it won’t interfere.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
