Delhi to give Kolkata’s parking model a try

Delhi’s first ever 'satellite-based parking management system' is likely to come up in Kamla Nagar area. A senior north corporation official said that the system will be connected to satellite-based monitoring system, and the occupancy of the ‘geo-tagged’ parking slots will be monitored on a real-time basis.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
