Man thrashed, made to clean drain for 'theft'

A group of people thrashed a man suspected of theft, partially shaved his head and made him clean an open drain in north Delhi's Wazirabad area.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
