Transfer of Gujarat, Telangana HC judges sparks lawyer protests

The protesting lawyers of Telangana HC said they saw no reason why a righteous judge was moved out, if not its part of a condemnable "design". They didn't explain what could be the "design".

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
