Action taken against 13k traffic offenders in Mumbai

In a special crackdown against traffic offenders during Shab-E-Barat and Rangpanchmi festivals, the Mumbai Traffic Police took action against more than 13,000 violators.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
