Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia 'pauses' MP BJP chief's speech

Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia stopped state BJP president VD Sharma from giving his speech at a function in Shivpuri town to mark the translocation of tigers to Madhav National Park on Friday. Sharma had to return to his seat while Scindia began addressing the crowd.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
