MRVC invites tenders for 238 Vande Metro rakes

In a major step that is expected to revolutionise local train travel, Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) has invited tenders for 238 Vande Metro air-conditioned rakes for deployment across the suburban networks on the Western Railway (WR) and Central Railway (CR). A total of 2,856 cars will be procured, which can be configured to run as 12-car and 15-car trains.
