Mumbai: 2 forge NRI's sign, make off with Rs 81L

Two persons, who allegedly forged the signature of a non-resident Indian (NRI), transferred Rs 81 lakh from her account and siphoned it, were arrested by L T Marg police on Saturday.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
