Road rage: 2 men detained for abducting, beating up cabbie

Police on Friday detained two men for abducting a 31-year-old cab driver from CBI Junction on Ballari Road and beating him up in an incident triggered by road rage on Sunday night.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
