2 sailors arrested from brothel in Karwar

In an embarrassment to the defence forces, police arrested two navy personnel from Karwar base and rescued a woman after raiding a brothel in the outskirts of the city late Monday night.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
