High cholesterol? 2 jabs/year latest therapy coming soon

Patients at KEM Hospital in Mumbai are participating in a clinical trial for inclisiran, an injection that can potentially reduce high cholesterol levels. The injection, which is already approved in the US and UK, is expected to be available in India soon. The price of the injection in India is estimated to be between Rs 1.25 and Rs 1.5 lakh. Trials have shown that inclisiran can reduce cholesterol levels by 50%. The trial at KEM Hospital will also assess the drug's impact on heart attacks.
