Delhi riots: Boy shot at on way home from school

Among the more than 200 victims of stone-pelting and shooting in northeast Delhi is a 13-year-old boy. He was shot in his back. Victims like him include two men who were returning home when they were attacked by a mob. Police also confirmed four acid attack cases.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
