K'taka: Village chief kisses dancer at temple fair

A remote village in Davanagere district organised a fair on Friday in which the village head planted a kiss on a woman soon after she enthralled onlookers with a dance recital.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
