Man convicted of beating cop to death over helmet

A sessions court on Friday convicted a 24-year-old man for thrashing a traffic constable, Vilas Shinde (52), to death after he stopped his relative, a minor, for not wearing a helmet and took away his bike key.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order
