Mumbai: Two acquitted of rape of SA model

Fourteen years after two city businessmen were accused of raping a 27-year-old South African model at a hotel, a sessions court acquitted them on Friday.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
