According to the latest draft revision of Maharashtra's electoral roll, almost 93% of 18-19 year olds in the state are not registered as voters. This figure is lower than it was in January, when 84.5% of this age group were not on the voters' list. The 20-29 age group also shows low voter registration, with 40% of this segment not registered. The state's chief electoral officer has expressed concern over the poor registration of young voters and plans to conduct campaigns to increase their numbers.
