From Nov 1, CR staffers to get flexi time option to escape crush hour commute

Central Railway's Mumbai division will implement flexible working hours for its employees starting from November 1. Around 1,500 employees will have the option to work in two slots, allowing them to avoid peak hour travel on local trains. The initiative aims to prevent accidents and injuries caused by overcrowding during peak hours. The divisional railway manager plans to encourage other government organisations to adopt similar measures. This move follows previous efforts to reduce casualties and injuries, such as implementing trespassing control measures and increasing platform heights.
