2am landslide at Mahakali Road damages 5 SRA flats, no one hurt; bldg vacated

A landslide at 2am on Tuesday damaged at least five flats in a Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) building at Mahakali Road in Andheri (East). The ground-plus-seven-storey Ram Baug CHS has a total of 168 flats, all of which were vacated following the incident.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order

Holding it mandatory for a government authority to expeditiously deal with and communicate its decision on a representation made by a person against preventive detention, the Supreme Court on Friday invalidated an order passed by Madhya Pradesh government against a doctor after noting that no decision was taken on his representation for two months.
