LG, CM fail to reach consensus, SC to select ad hoc DERC chief

The Supreme Court on Thursday said it will select within a week a retired high court judge as ad hoc chairperson of Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) after finding that its three-day-old coaxing failed to make the lieutenant governor and chief minister agree on a candidate for the post and their bickering spilled into the courtroom.
