Delhi gets 98.4% of year's normal rainfall in 7 months

In just seven months, the city has received 98.4% of the rainfall that's normally recorded in a year. Safdarjung, the city's base station, logged a total of 762.3mm till August 7, against the entire year's normal of 774.4mm. Met officials said the city is likely to surpass the normal figure this month. In contrast, Delhi crossed the normal mark in October last year after the monsoon season had ended.
