200-yr-old police post brought back to life in Delhi

Barh ki Chowki, one of Delhi's oldest police posts, is set to open to the public after restoration work by the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (Intach). The heritage building, dating back to the early 1800s, was found in a dilapidated condition in 2006. The restoration project, undertaken in two phases, involved repairing the masonry, restoring arches, and cleaning a small well. The restored post is expected to be inaugurated in September and will house a small Delhi Police office.
