Maharashtra forms 20-member team to assist Maratha quota panel

The state government of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has formed a 20-member team to assist a panel headed by retired Justice Sandeep Shinde in meeting the demands of the Maratha community. The committee aims to recognize the Maratha community as Kunbi and grant them OBC certificates. The team has been given a month to complete their work, which includes issuing Kunbi caste certificates to all Marathas. This move comes after Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange ended his 17-day hunger strike demanding quota for Marathas in jobs and education.
