A shift: Most organ donors aged under 50

An age-related demographic shift has occurred among deceased organ donors in Mumbai towards a younger profile. Of the 50 donations recorded in 2023, 52% were from deceased donors under 50, representing a departure from the usual pattern of 35-45% donations from those under that age. Doctors have mixed opinions about this shift.

SC raps MP govt over detention of doc under NSA, nixes order
