Traffic claims clutch plates of 100+ Maharashtra cars

During the Christmas weekend rush, more than 100 cars experienced burnt clutch plates on the Saimal to Dasturi section of the Mumbai-Pune national highway. Additionally, over a dozen cars suffered similar damage on the Dheku village stretch of the Mumbai-Pune expressway between Friday evening and Sunday night. The highway safety patrol had to deploy towing vans in the ghat section to clear the Pune-bound carriageway. Approximately 25 mechanics were on hand in the expressway ghat section to address vehicle issues, charging a minimum of Rs 6,000 for clutch plate replacements.
