No reason for fear to go viral yet, but caution remains key

Delhi has not yet seen any case of the new JN.1 Covid-19 variant, but doctors caution the vulnerable population against gathering in crowded, closed places. They advise wearing N95 masks to protect against Covid and pollution. The JN.1 variant has not caused severe illness, but the elderly and those with co-morbidities should be more careful. Testing and genome sequencing are being done for cases of pneumonia and flu. There is no need to panic, but awareness against gathering in crowded spaces and wearing masks is essential. The current vaccines provide some protection against the new variant.
