CNG-based animal crematorium, city's first, to get operational soon

Delhi's first CNG-based cremation centre for animals at Dwarka Sector 29, supplied by Indraprastha Gas Limited, will become operational this month. Spread across 700 square metres and adjoining a dog sterilisation centre, it will be the city's first crematorium with two CNG furnaces. The facility will be used for cremation of small-size stray and pet animals. The MCD has fixed charges for using the facility, with strays being cremated for free. The construction was done on a public-private partnership basis.
