8 hurt in Chembur LPG blast, couple suffers serious injury

Gas leaked from an LPG cylinder in Mumbai, causing an explosion that resulted in the collapse of several structures and injuries to eight people, including a couple with serious burn injuries. The blast occurred in a ground-plus-one structure in Old Barrack, T-48 at Chembur camp. The victims, who suffered burns, stated that the explosion happened when they tried to light the gas stove. Fire brigade personnel rescued stranded individuals and cleared the debris, finding burnt clothes and a ruptured tube of the LPG cylinder.
