MCD monitoring open burning of waste 24x7: Mayor Shelly Oberoi

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has formed teams to monitor open burning of garbage day and night across the city. The mayor, Shelly Oberoi, stated that a winter action plan, similar to the Delhi government's, is being implemented for the first time by the MCD. The teams are inspecting various areas and urging people to refrain from burning crackers and to dispose of garbage in designated places. The MCD has also issued penalties for open burning and violations of waste disposal rules. Additionally, the mayor emphasized the importance of segregating and recycling garbage.

Maha: SSC success rate dips to 4-year low

Appearing for exams based on complete syllabus for the first time since Covid struck, state board students recorded a 93% success rate in the SSC Class 10 results announced Friday.
