
Delhi experienced its cleanest Chhoti Diwali day in years, with improved air quality due to consistent winds. The air quality index (AQI) was 228 at 12 pm, reaching 224 by 4 pm. The average AQI for the city was 220 on Saturday, compared to 279 the previous day. The early warning system predicts a decline in air quality to "very poor" on Sunday. Biomass burning contributed 10% to PM2.5 levels on Saturday, expected to rise to 29% on Sunday. Stubble burning instances also increased, with 104 recorded on Saturday.
