Rakesh Wadhawan gets 3-mth med bail from SC

The Supreme Court has granted a three-month interim bail to Rakesh Wadhawan, the promoter of Housing Development Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL), in connection with the Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) Bank scam case. The bail was granted on medical grounds, taking into consideration Wadhawan's health condition. He will be allowed to remain at his residential house under police custody at his own expense. The court also directed that he be given medical treatment at JJ Hospital or a private hospital if necessary. Wadhawan and his son are facing investigation for alleged loan fraud from Yes Bank and PMC Bank.
