'Dirty politics': Senior babu hits out at Delhi govt

The clash between the elected government and bureaucracy in New Delhi continues as divisional commissioner Ashwani Kumar accuses the government of playing "dirty politics" in a press conference. Kumar defends chief secretary Naresh Kumar in a land acquisition case, stating that charges against him are aimed at character assassination. The government hints at taking action against Kumar for violating service rules. Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had asked for an inquiry into allegations against the chief secretary's son's employment in relation to a land acquisition case. Kumar claims there is no direct link between the landowners and the chief secretary's son.
